A Process Operator Level D performs a range of advanced tasks associated with process manufacturing. The work involves an increased level of skill from Level C and is carried out under minimal supervision. The work may involve rotation between different workstations, tasks and work environments. Participation in related training, team and continuous improvement activities and compliance with HACCP, hygiene, safety, quality assurance, environmental and personal conduct requirements are also essential.
A Process Operator Level D will be required to perform any of the following duties within the levels of their competency and position classification in accordance with work instructions:
- Undertake necessary training to develop and maintain competency in the full range of duties required;
- Increased knowledge in the operation of several pieces of process equipment in more than one specialist area compared with level C. Use of all appropriate materials handling equipment including forklifts;
- Work in a team environment and participate in team activities;
- Plan and co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision;
- Undertake duties in a safe and responsible manner;
- Responsibility for the quality and planning of own work on a daily basis;
- Make decisions within guidelines and their level of skills and training Carry out Quality Control tests;
- Intermediate paper record keeping skills and computer/process control operating skills;
- Stock management and dispatch;
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and to comply with Food Hygiene and Food Safety requirements;
- Follow OH & S Practices and procedures to comply with legislative requirements;
- Capable of carrying out duties/tasks of lower level process operators. Conduct training to lower level employees in process operations
