Food Safety Program
All operational dairy farms within Victoria are required to be licenced by Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV), the State Regulatory Authority.
A licence requirement is for farms to implement an approved Food Safety Program and undergo an audit of the system at least once within a 24 month cycle by a National Accredited Approved Auditor.
The Burra Foods Safety Program (FSP) is approved by DFSV and is designed to identify potential food safety hazards specific to the farm operation, including the systems and records used to control those hazards.
To ensure compliance, all new farm milk supply partners of Burra Foods are provided assistance and support with the implementation of their Food Safety Program.
