Korumburra is known as the "Heritage Centre of South Gippsland" and is located only 30 minutes from local beaches, 60 minutes from Wilson's Promontory and 90 minutes from Melbourne CBD.










Some of the town attractions include the Olympic pool (open November–March), two-court basketball stadium, art gallery, the South Gippsland tourist railway. The towns main industries include dairy and beef. The region is home to the world's largest earthworms.

The town has a wide range of sporting activities which include: Korumburra Bena Football Netball Club, 18 hole golf course, Bowls Club, Men's & Women's soccer teams, Basketball Club

Korumburra provides a high quality of schooling which includes Korumburra Primary School, St Joseph's Primary School and Korumburra Secondary College.
