At Burra Foods, our commitment to decarbonising Australian dairy manufacturing has taken an exciting step forward. We’re proud to be among 12 organisations selected for support through the Australian Industry Renewable Heat Accelerator. Which is a national initiative helping industry shift from gas to renewable process heat.
Delivered in partnership with the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP), the Accelerator supports projects developing practical, low-carbon alternatives to traditional gas-fuelled heat systems.
For Burra, this partnership will deliver a Dairy Processor Renewable Heat Decarbonisation Roadmap, which is a plan to identify renewable technologies that can maintain product quality, improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.
We see renewable heat as a critical next step in decarbonising dairy manufacturing, and believe this project will help us understand which technologies best fit our operations and how we can transform our energy systems to strengthen both environmental and business sustainability.
With support from A2EP, Burra Foods continues to invest in innovation and energy resilience, building a low-carbon, competitive future for Australian dairy.
