Our Brand Ambassador
Burra carefully selected its first brand ambassador, seeking someone who displayed the essence of its brand – community, sustainability and ingenuity. Australian Olympian Eleanor Patterson is the perfect fit.
Eleanor is originally from Leongatha, in Gippsland, and is Australia’s most successful female high jumper. She won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and represented Australia at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
In February 2020, she set a new Australian high jump record at 1.99 metres. Her goal is to be the first Australian woman to clear 2m and she is currently in training for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Burra Foods – and nearly all of Gippsland – has followed Eleanor’s rise, and is looking forward to following her journey to Tokyo.
An easy choice
For Burra, the brand ambassador is a new initiative and so finding the right person was critical.
In trying to decide who would take the title of Burra Foods’ first brand ambassador, Burra was seeking an individual where the company’s support would be appreciated. Most importantly though, there needed to be an alignment between them and all that they stand for and the brand essence and values of the company.
The team at Burra believes Eleanor is the perfect person to promote Burra Foods and is honoured to partner with a Gippsland local who is at the top of her profession.
